We are a family owned and operated high-tech greenhouse operation specializing in quality cut roses for the floral market. Our operation is situated 60km east of Vancouver, in the heart of the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada.

Company History

Apko Nurseries Limited began as a dream of Dutch immigrants Abe & Elizabeth Koole. In 1963 the first greenhouse was built and a membership was initiated in the new United Flower Growers Co-op.

Assorted crops were grown, but in 1977 the decision was made to begin growing cut roses. By 1984 roses became the main crop.

Through the 1980�s Apko became known as a premier cut rose grower in the Western Canadian market. During that time sons Paul and Pete became more involved in the company. In 1996 Abe retired, handing the reins over to his sons, but the tradition of quality and excellence is continued by the second generation.
